MONTANA PILOTS ASSOCIATION SMALL GRANTS AVAILABLE



The Montana Pilots’ Association and the MPA Air Safety and Education Foundation established special funds for the purpose of expanding Montana aviation amenities for pilots at rural public airstrips as well as at gateway airports. Such projects may consist of construction or improvement of rest area facilities, picnic shelters and other infrastructure of a permanent nature, but are not limited to the afore mentioned. Persons shall submit funding requests to the Montana Pilots’ Association using their application form. The disbursement of funds is at the discretion of the Board of Directors.  Some of the past projects have been: picnic tables and fire rings at Seeley Lake Airport, picnic shelter at Townsend, improvements to Columbus pilots lounge, pilot shelter at Bozeman airport, well at Ryan field, lawn maintenance at Polson, plus numerous amenities for the back-country airstrips.  Please contact Pete Smith, President or Mary Newpower, Secretary for a copy of the application and guidelines.
