Join the Recreational Aviation Foundation (RAF) and the MPA Vigilante Hangar at Jerry Cain's annual BBQ at the Lincoln, MT airport (S69) on Saturday July 23rd with the core time frame from noon to 3:00 pm for the BBQ, but anyone can arrive earlier or stay later. There are four bicycles available to ride into town or a one mile walk.
The standard menu is hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings, potato salad, chili beans, vanilla ice cream, Liz’s chocolate cake, and bottled water and Propel Zero to drink. Attendees are welcome to bring anything they would like to share with others or even cook on the BBQ. Donations are accepted, but not required.
There is an airplane tie down area and campground on the Blackfoot River at the approach end of runway 4 with tables, fire rings, and an outhouse or one could even park their plane and pitch a tent on the grass next to my hangar where there is an outhouse, fire ring, table, water, and of course the bike shed. Those wanting to camp could arrive any day earlier and stay as many days as they wanted. From the campground on the river, one can shortcut to town through the ranger station compound making it about ½ mile.
An RSVP to Jerry with number and names of people coming and how arriving (plane, car, motorcycle, etc.) would be appreciated to plan accordingly.
Hope to see you there.
